Cat Flap Update

Hey guys,

Here's another Cat Flap update. I'm working on fixing a few issues with scene 05 and then it'll be ready for clean up and color. I'm aiming to have that done by the end of the day tomorrow, because I really need to start working on the last scene. It's imperative that I get my part of this project done by this time next week at the latest. I have a painting to do for my Mythology class and I wont be able to spend a lot of time on it if this animation isn't done.

A concern has been raised about clarity in scene 05. My friend saw an ealier version of the scene and said it was unclear that the cat was listening to the car approaching and why she was suddenly happy. She signed off before I got a chance to show her this version, so I'm not sure if those issues are still present. Does anyone feel like scene 05 (or any part for that matter) is unclear?

I only caught the sound of the car coming once I read your comment about it. Missed it the first time, my volume may have been too low. But to make it read better maybe some more time on the happy expression,as you give time for the noticed expression to read, but then she gets pulled up a little too fast after smiling all proudly.
I'm kinda new at this so I might not know what I'm talking about, lol.
Really cute acting, though 8)

Animation overall is really good. Have the cat panic more after realising the danger. Maybe add a view from behind the cat with car lights shining on garage door getting bigger (Dusk scene) and rear legs moving in a frantic/scratching mannor? or from the front the cat pushing with front paws against the door and stretching its body forward. As the door raises cat sticks its claws into the ground leaving scratches.
(Sometimes you have to spell it out)

TIP: Always test your animations without sound. Think about target audience - show a child the animation and see how they react to it. If they think its funny - your 99% there.

Keep up the good work, Iam sure it will pay off.
